I'm in a Christmas mood dammit and so far there are two things bothering me right now: work and the other one is... well, work again.
Before I leave for the province my TL handed me (forced) this project that should be coordinated to all department members. Although it is not as profound as let say a project about the employee's performance evaluation, this is still important because it is a new system that aims to lessen the requests sent thru email. The point is, I have to make sure they understand the new system before the holidays began (it will go live next week). Problem: I will be on leave next week. There are no other representative. Bigger problem: MNG might have my hide if the department members don't understand and use the new system.
Another thing is, we have a vacancy in the department albeit it's on a different team. Granted that I wanted out of my job right now, do I really want to transfer or do I want out of the company itself? Some of my office-friends gave really conflicting advices (position needs top be filled in by January, by the way) and I still don't know if the new boss, new tasks, new work environment will be worth it (salary remains the same though... sigh). I have *looks at the clock* 3 hours worth of decision time.
So God help me.
(I will be back from vacation on the 20th, hopefully everything won't blow up by then)
P.S.
Malaysian ITs blocked Friendster from all of our internet access. First it was YouTube, then Friendster. What will be next, Multiply? Grrr.. I do hope not FFnet.
